Working location and hours of the ACJ Educational Day Centre
Working Location
"El Milagro", shantytown of Trujillo.
This is about 45 minutes travel from Huanchaco by bike - there is an old 'Otra Cosa' bike you can borrow for this!
Alternatively, from Huanchaco its a 20/25 minute bus ride to Trujillo then you can be picked up by the ACJ transport near where the bus drops you.
Or, from Trujillo, about 20 mins on the bus.
Working hours
This project is currently only available as a part-time project in combination with one of our other projects. Consult us for latest working hours as info below is no longer vaild.
Flexible, but a 6 week minimum stay is required.
There are six morning shifts (normally 8 till 10) and six afternoon shifts (normally 3 to 5) in the community centre. One week in advance you have to indicate when you want to work. Depending on when you are available and how many other volunteers and teachers there are and on how many children are attending the activities you could be asked to work more or less then your original schedule - so you need to be flexible to meet the demand.
