Volunteer Qualifications and Requirements for working at the shanty town school

Requirements

• Flexible, strong and open minded personality. Not afraid to work in primitive and uncertain conditions.
  
• Experience with and affection for working with children (3-11 years old)
  
• Able to generate authority in a playful way with these streetwise kids.
  
• Spanish speaking (basic to intermediate).
  
• Able to deal with chaotic situations.
  
• Some experience of teaching English or Art to lead those programs - experience not necessary to assist
  
• Normally a minimum commitment of 4 weeks, but some flexibility.
