Teaching English

• Teaching English at the Library Project
  Teaching English to primary school kids (and potentially young adults) from the poorer areas of Huanchaco


• Volunteer language school
  Teaching English to local adults and children at Volunteer Language Schools in/near Trujillo


• Teaching English in the mountains in Yanasara
  Teaching English to children in the remote mountain village of Yanasara


• Teaching English in the mountains in Leymebamba
  Teaching English to eco-tourism guides and/or children in the mountain village of Leymebamba

Working with Children

• Home for ex-street Children
  Working with ex-street children in a home in Huanchaco


• Shanty Town School
  Teaching or helping out in shanty town school run by its population near Trujillo


• ACJ Educational Day Centre
  Teaching underpriviliged kids at a Day Recreational Centre near the landfill site in Trujillo. (Currently only available as part-time project in combination with another project).


• School for Special Needs children
  Helping out or teaching at a school for Special Needs children in Trujillo
  
• School for the Blind and partially sighted
  Helping out at a school for the blind and partially sighted in Trujillo
  
• Teaching kids English at the Library Project
  Teaching English to poorer kids in local primary schools in Huanchaco
• Fair trade postcard photography project
  Training photography to youngsters for Fair trade postcard project in Trujillo

Alternative socially responsible projects

• Un Lugar Surf School
  Helping out in the local surf scene in Huanchaco(peak demand in Peruvian summer)


• Otra Cosa Network
  Helping us run the Otra Cosa Network in Huanchaco


• Otra Cosa Vegetarian Restaurant
  Helping out in Otra Cosa Vegetarian Restaurant in Huanchaco - seasonal vacancies mainly in Peruvian summer (check for details)


• Abandoned Dogs' Home
  Helping care for abandoned and sick dogs in a centre being constructed in Huanchaquito (near Huanchaco).
  
• Sustainable Tourism Agency & Fair Trade Café
  Working in a new sustainable tourism agency and/ or Fair Trade Café based in the mountain town of Chachapoyas.


• Sicchezpampa Organic Farm
  Working on an Organic Coffee and Sugar farm in the mountains of Northern Peru (Seasonal Placement: Mid May to December)


• Nazca Lines Project
  Helping create awareness of and educate about the Nazca lines in Nazca

• Women's Refuge Centre/Outreach work
  Helping women who have serious domestic problems and may have left their homes
  
• Construction Projects
  Helping our local projects realize their construction needs in and around Trujillo
